The recapturing of Osgiliath was a difficult task, entrusted to the bravest warriors and led by the steward's favoured son Boromir and his brother Faramir. Theose who survived became known as the Veterans of Osgiliath, grizzled warriors who stopped at nothing to return Osgiliath to her rightful place. Though their armour is battered and scarred, and they bear many small wounds, their loyalty to their captains is unscathed.
