Known as Le Penne Nere (the black feathers), after the distinctive raven feather in their headgear, the Alpini are the Italian Army’s elite specialists in mountain warfare. When fielding Alpini in your Italian army, you’ll need suitable officers to lead them!

For every platoon in your army, you’ll need a Platoon Commander. This pack contains two Italian Alpini officer models, ideal for this purpose. It also contains two miniatures to supplement a Rifle Platoon, a medic tending to an injured comrade (0-1 per Rifle Platoon) and a radio operator that is ideal to act as a forward observer (0-1 per Rifle Platoon), as an attendant extra man for your officer team, or as a spotter for a mortar or artillery team.
